Manual handling involves any activity requiring effort to lift, move, push, pull, carry, or hold any object, including a person. Poor manual handling practices are among the most common causes of injury in the healthcare industry, particularly when staff are required to manoeuvre patients. These injuries are often severe and can lead to chronic problems that may not be completely treatable.
Created specifically for the needs of workers in the healthcare industry, the Manual Handling for Healthcare Workers online course will teach you how to safely identify, plan, and perform manual handling tasks to assist in maintaining an injury-free workplace.
