Various state governments in Australia have issued directives governing the mandatory vaccination requirements for healthcare workers who are employed in healthcare settings.
A healthcare worker is a person (including a volunteer or student) that is employed or engaged as a contractor to perform work in a healthcare setting. Regulations across States in which IHNA campuses are located all require compliance with the mandatory deadlines for vaccinations to attend clinical placements.
Therefore, students are not able to enrol into courses at IHNA which have Practical Placements in healthcare settings if they are not vaccinated. Exemptions may apply. Please contact admissions consultants at IHNA to seek further clarification on the subject.
