This skill set will equip students with the knowledge and skills about the legal and ethical framework within which the community sector functions. It emphasises the importance of strategic communication in a workplace setting considering the diverse nature of the stakeholders. Emphasises the importance of diversity and inclusion and how to manage it in the workplace. It also showcases the importance of continuous professional development and implementing the n learnings in their own practice. Students will be able to develop and implement policies and procedures in a community service organisation that ensures compliance, promotes diversity, and improve professional practice through research and ongoing professional development.

The amount of training required for this course is 354 hours, however depending on the amount of time invested by you – it can be completed in a lesser timeframe.
The skill set will provide a gateway to Management/Team leader positions in the community sector, housing, aged care, disability, mental health, and youth work.

However, there are no formal entry requirements for this Course, but applicants should demonstrate the ability to perform tasks as required by the health industry.
16 years of age and above at the time of commencement of the course
Satisfactory completion of studies in applicant’s home country equivalent to an Australian Year 10 course is required for entry into this course.
Entry into this course requires IELTS band score of 5.5 or equivalent.
Students will undergo language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) to identify Language, Literacy and Numeracy capabilities at the time of Orientation (prior to commencing the courses).
Mature age students (22+) will also be considered without the minimum education requirements. Each case will be reviewed individually to ascertain the capacity of the student to meet course requirements.

Student must possess basic computer skills which includes covering the most common usages of a computer, including managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases; creating presentations; finding information and communicating using computers; and being aware of social and ethical implications of Internet use.
