This unit describes the skills and knowledge required for workers to participate in safe work practices to ensure their own health and safety, and that of others.

The unit applies to all workers who require knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) to carry out their own work, either under direct supervision or with some individual responsibility.

What is this module all about?

This module mainly focuses on the work health and safety practices, how to comply with workplace health and safety legislation, and the implementation of WH&S strategies to control risks and emergency procedures.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification; however, applicants should demonstrate ability to perform tasks as required by the industry. Also, you will need to have sufficient English language skills to complete the competency based first aid training.
