This module describes the skills and knowledge required to work respectfully with people from diverse social and cultural groups and situations, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in Australia. This is applicable to all workers.

What is this module all about?

Work with Diverse People is a nationally recognised training unit in Australia that teaches individuals how to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. The course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate and work respectfully with people from different cultures, religions, genders, ages, and abilities.

This course is relevant to anyone working in any industry, particularly those in the community services sector, including aged care, disability services, child protection and mental health. It is also relevant to individuals working in customer service, education, and other fields where they interact with people from diverse backgrounds.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification; however, applicants should demonstrate ability to perform tasks as required by the industry. Also, you will need to have sufficient English language skills to complete the competency based first aid training.
