The Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Community Rehabilitation Assistant) focuses on teaching the fundamental knowledge and skills required to work as a qualified community rehabilitation assistant (CRA).
The CRA helps people recover from injuries or illnesses while under the supervision of allied health professionals. Supervision can be direct, indirect, or remote, and it must take place within the parameters of the organisation. The CRA is also required to identify client situations that require additional input from allied health professionals.
The amount of training required for this course is 990 hours, however depending on the amount of time invested by you – it can be completed in a lesser timeframe.

However, there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, but applicants should demonstrate the ability to perform tasks as required by the health industry.

16 years of age and above at the time of commencement of the course.
Satisfactory completion of studies in applicant’s home country equivalent to an Australian Year 10 course is required for entry into this course.
Students may undergo language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) to identify Language, Literacy and Numeracy capabilities at the time of Orientation (prior to commencing the courses).
Students over the age of 22 will also be considered without the minimum education requirements. Each case will be reviewed individually to ascertain the capacity of the student to meet course requirements.
Student must possess basic computer skills which includes covering the most common usages of a computer, including managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases; creating presentations; finding information and communicating using computers; and being aware of social and ethical implications of Internet use.
Graduates may progress to higher level qualifications within and/or across the health care sector

Students must submit a portfolio of past evidence, which may include third-party assessments, and partaking in an interview procedure. They can further have their prior learning and work experiences acknowledged in this certification. A practical demonstration of the portfolio presented by the students may also be used to evaluate student’s competencies and expertise, which will give the educators a clear idea. In addition to this mutual recognition and credit transfer allow students to have their previous formal training recognized.
Credit Transfer is only available for Australian qualifications when a student has completed the units considered necessary for a qualification at another Registered Training Organization.
