Course Overview

This skill set will provide the skills and knowledge to assess multi-faceted needs of clients, develop case management plans in collaboration with the client, coordinate multiple services to meet their complex requirement and provide supervision to other case managers regarding case management practice.

Amount of Training

The amount of training required for this course is 350 hours, however depending on the amount of time invested by you – it can be completed in a lesser timeframe.

Career Opportunity

The skill set will provide a gateway to a case manager position in the community sector, aged care, disability, mental health, and youth work.

Purpose

To build a strong foundation in case management practice from assessing clients, developing a case plan, coordinating services, monitoring the implementation of the plan, and evaluating the progress of the client under the supervision of a case manager.

IHNA Online Admission Requirements

However, there are no formal entry requirements for this Course, but applicants should demonstrate the ability to perform tasks as required by the health industry.

16 years of age and above at the time of commencement of the course

Satisfactory completion of studies in applicant’s home country equivalent to an Australian Year 10 course is required for entry into this course.

Entry into this course requires IELTS band score of 5.5 or equivalent.

Students will undergo language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) to identify Language, Literacy and Numeracy capabilities at the time of Orientation (prior to commencing the courses).

Mature age students (22+) will also be considered without the minimum education requirements. Each case will be reviewed individually to ascertain the capacity of the student to meet course requirements.

Digital literacy

Student must possess basic computer skills which includes covering the most common usages of a computer, including managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases; creating presentations; finding information and communicating using computers; and being aware of social and ethical implications of Internet use.

Professional Experience Placement Requirements
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance / Australian Federal Police Clearance Certificate (AFP) / NCC will be required for all practical placements
  • Working with children check
  • Applicable immunization certification like COVID-19 Certificate – IHNA highly recommends students to complete the immunization process before the Professional Experience Placement start date as some facilities will not provide placement to student without immunization.
  • Additional costs may be incurred depending on the fees charged by the providers to complete these requirements

LLN:You are required to complete an LLN test, within the first 3 days of enrolling
Step 4
Confirmation:Upon completion of your LLN and any other prerequisites, you will be issued a confirmation of admission
Step 5
Cooling off period:Once enrolled students have a 5 working days cooling off period (from course commencement date) to withdraw from the course and avail a full refund of the fees paid

Among the other requirements there are a few prerequisites you must fulfil in order to enrol in Diploma of Nursing, the general requirements are:
  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You must be a citizen of Australia. As an alternative, you need a permanent humanitarian visa or a certain type of temporary visa with study privileges
  • To compare your language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills to the benchmark levels of the Australian Core Skills Framework, you must also take an online test (ACSF)
  • Regarding the English language standards as from time to time set forth by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will be required to provide a declaration

Yes, definitely required.
A PTE score of 65 or an OET score of B, or an overall IELTS score of 7 bands with no component scores lower than 6.5 bands. You must have at least one year of recent, either paid or unpaid, experience as required by the respective institution or by the university.
